CDF PC2 Eastern Framework
The backbone scheme for the framework was the replacement of 1539 new energy efficient LED lanterns on the M1 Motorway between Junction 6 and Junction 12.
This was carried out on nights under planned sectional closures which had to be resourced efficiently to obtain the maximum output but controlled to maintain the costs.
MSF deployed multiple MEWP gangs, electricians and ground men, supported with competent supervision who liaised with VolkerFitzpatrick on site to ensure continued progress.
In conjunction with this operation, several other signage and electrical schemes were carefully integrated to complete the scope of works ahead of schedule by over 4 weeks.
These involved the installation of vehicle activated signage and challenging civils works including thrust boring underneath the carriageway to replace a redundant duct crossing to maintain power to lighting columns.
