Energy Superhub Oxford

MSF recently installed the Fastned station at Energy Superhub Oxford, Europe’s most powerful EV charging hub.
MSF installed 10 charging bays at the super-hub along with Fastned’s iconic solar panelled canopies which help to power the bays with energy from the sun and wind.
MSF is the one of the first EV installers to gain solar installations from MCS and RECC making us the installer of choice for Fastned in the UK.

Energy Superhub Networks

The Oxford Superhub project is part of a nationwide network of Energy Superhubs developed by Pivot Power, which combine transmission-connected batteries and power infrastructure for EV charging to enable more renewables and accelerate the decarbonisation of transport.
The hub provides fast and ultra-rapid charging for 42 vehicles and has the capacity to charge 400, supporting the estimated 36 million EVs expected on UK roads by 2040. With 300kW of power available, Fastned customers are able to charge their vehicles in just 20 minutes.

Direct Connection to National Grid's HV Network

Unlike any other UK charging hub, the site is directly connected to National Grid’s high voltage transmission network via a four-mile underground cable, which will deliver 10 MW of power to quickly and simultaneously charge hundreds of EVs without putting additional strain on the local electricity network or requiring costly upgrades.
