MSF recently delivered the electrical infrastructure package for the iPort Rail inland port expansion project, on behalf of principal contractor Winvic Construction.

Located within iPort—the UK's largest multimodal logistics hub—the site encompasses 6 million square feet of logistics and industrial space across an 800-acre development strategically positioned at the centre of the UK's rail network, with direct access to the M18 motorway.

Design & Build

Working under a design and build contract, MSF’s work encompassed high-mast lighting systems, street lighting, CCTV surveillance infrastructure, a fibre optic network, and all associated civils.

The MSF team worked closely with Winvic and iPort Rail stakeholders to optimise work sequencing and minimise disruption to terminal operations.

This multimillion-pound upgrade is a significant capacity enhancement, doubling the facility's current operational size and storage capabilities while increasing daily train capacity.
