A14 Cambridge to Huntingdon Improvement Scheme

This £1.5bn scheme included a major new bypass to the south of Huntingdon and upgrades to 21 miles of the existing A14.
MSF were commissioned by the Skanska, Costain and Balfour Beatty JV to install the gantry and verge mounted traffic signs inclusive of bollards and marker posts.
MSF were the only contractor to be awarded the full works on all 6 sections, and installed over 2000 hard plate signs in varying sizes and mounting arrangements.

Collaboration

Due to the uncertainty of whether the scheme would be trunk or motorway standards, MSF had to proactively collaborate to ensure that the correct signage could be ordered, manufactured, deployed and installed in time for the openings of the various sections.
The A14 was a successful large-scale project for MSF and the wider industry, which by association alone cements us as one of the UK’s key infrastructure delivery partners.
