A19 Improvement Scheme Testo & Downhill Lane

This scheme forms part of a wider strategy to upgrade the A19 and A1 in the north-east and will support the government’s Northern Powerhouse agenda – helping create a transport system that’s an engine for economic growth.
MSF were awarded the contract to install street lighting, ducting, cabling, traffic signal infrastructure and associated technology assets on this major project which will improve traffic flow around the Testo’s roundabout which connects the A19 with the A184 in South Tyneside, and provide extra capacity on the Downhill Lane junction between the A19 and the A1290 in Sunderland.
